Health Care Speaker Stays Active As Adjunct Professor
In order to be an impactful motivational health care speaker, you must have something to say that is so extraordinary touching; a “je ne sais quoi” that lures audiences to make a change in thoughts and actions. And powerful enough to where it catches the attention of organizations, corporations and institutions who find value in investing for such an individual to come touch their audiences’ hearts.
Travis Lloyd seems to have that something special.
He’s spoken for nearly 50,000 people in live audiences and nearly half a million through TV and radio appearances!
Many of you may ask how he achieved this. His answer is his “passion for helping people live Happier, Healthier & more Successful lives.” He says it’s a lot of work, but every bit of it is enjoyable when he gets feedback from event attendees telling him how their experience changed their lives in the most positive way, often in tears of joy.
Passion has given him the tenacity to keep pushing to see a vision become reality. But what health care speaker Travis Lloyd does to keep himself relevant is not just continuing to stay active and present on a national platform, but also in his local community through utilizing his previous career experience as a part time Adjunct Professor. As he has twice each semester for the past four years, the above image shows when he recently took some time out of his busy schedule to teach and help RN, BSN students at Blank Children’s Hospital in Des Moines, IA, where he currently resides. Travis believes in personal awareness and self development. And by going back to his roots of nearly 15 years in health care, he continues to evolve through current experiences with patients and students at the very health system where he launched his original career as a Registered Nurse. In a recent Facebook post he made the following quote:
“My career in health care taught me patience and understanding. It taught me how to be calm in crisis. It taught me the importance of never accepting “just because” as the answer to why something is the way it is. But most importantly it taught me to always be a student of life.”
For many reasons, Travis Lloyd is an amazing individual and motivational health care speaker for hospitals and health care related events. Not only because he is extremely passionate about helping others, but also because he spends the majority of his time doing things to help others. Whether advocating for child welfare legislation as a volunteer board member for Foster Care Alumni of America or maintaining a presence in his local hospital, he always takes it upon himself to live the life he preaches and live by his own words. Like Ghandi says “Be the change you want to see in this world”.
Travis is a great example of that change and an inspiration for health care professionals from all walks of life.
I’m going to leave you all with an incredible quote that Mr. Lloyd made during our recent phone interview:
“Focus not on satisfying your own desires but instead on how you can use your talents and passions to impact the world and help others”.
